Two changes for Offaly

Offaly manager Kevin Kilmurray has made two alterations to his side for Sunday's Leinster SFC semi-final against Wexford (Croke Park, throw-in 2.10pm).

Both changes come in the half-forward line with Doon's Damien Hunt and John Reynolds from the Clara club gaining starts on the wings, with Colm Quinn and Trevor Phelan making way.

The Faithfuls have been out of championship action since their controversial quarter-final win over Kildare at headquarters on May 28.

Speculation that 1997 All-Star corner back Cathal Daly would come back into the line-up has been proven wrong. Daly was summoned back into the Offaly squad at the start of the month after opting out of it earlier in the year, citing a lack of available time for the inter-county game.

It had been expected that the Kilkenny-based Garda would perform a man-marking job this weekend on Wexford ace Matty Forde, who has scored 0-12 so far in the championship. Although he may still be sprung from the bench.

Sunday marks the first provincial championship meeting between the sides since 1994. The winners will face Dublin in the Leinster final on July 16 while a date with Monaghan in the second round of the All-Ireland qualifiers awaits the losers.
