Ulster final set for Croker

The Ulster SFC final is to be held at Croke Park for the third consecutive year, with Donegal and reigning champions Armagh locking horns in Dublin on Sunday week.

The Ulster Council have confirmed that the all-ticket clash - a repeat of the 2004 decider which attracted 67,000 spectators to the capital venue - will take place at GAA headquarters on July 9.

Ulster secretary Danny Murphy said: "Given the appeal of this fixture, Croke Park is the only place where it can be hosted. We have taken everything into consideration - this is the right decision."

Tickets are being distributed through the county committees and more are to be available on www.tickermaster.ie by the end of the week.

The senior game will throw in at 2.15pm, with the minor final between Antrim and Donegal scheduled to get underway at 12.30pm.

There is likely to be a sizeable Antrim contingent at Croke Park as it is the first time in eight years that the county has a side in an Ulster football final.
