Signs good for Dublin's O'Shaughnessy

Stephen O'Shaughnessy looks set to play some part in Dublin's Leinster SFC semi-final against Laois on June 25.

The corner back played in a club challenge game for Lucan Sarsfields last week and is itching to return after eight months on the sidelines due to a shoulder injury.

Dublin manager Paul Caffrey gave O'Shaughnessy, an All-Star nominee last season, a substitute's jersey for last Sunday's Leinster opener against Longford with Graham Norton a late injury concern.

O'Shaughnessy's fitness for the Croke Park clash with Laois will be key - the Dubs' full-back line was far from impressive against Longford with corner backs David Henry and newcomer Niall O'Shea under worrying amounts of pressure.
