Curtin a concern for Dublin

Dublin's hurlers may be without David Curtin for Sunday's NHL Division Two semi-final against Westmeath (O'Moore Park, Portlaoise, throw-in 2.00pm).

The former Dublin captain sustained a hamstring twinge during last Saturday's Dublin SHL win for his club Ballyboden St. Enda's over Naomh Mearnog.

Curtin's loss would be a big one for the Dubs, who topped Division 2A with five wins from five.

The versatile forward has top-scored with 0-26 (21f, 1 '65') in his four NHL appearances to date.

Meanwhile, O'Toole's star Ger O'Meara, who has opted out of the Metropolitans' football panel, could come back into the hurling reckoning against Westmeath.

A vacancy has arisen in Tommy Naughton's squad after Damien Russell decided to quit the inter-county scene late last month.
