Corner-forward Michael Meehan scored four goals as Galway roasted Meath at Pearse Stadium.

It was a tale of two sides as Peter Forde’s Tribesmen won for the third time in as many weeks, while Meath slumped to their third straight defeat.

A burst of 1-06 without reply helped Galway go in at the break with a 2-08 to 0-07 advantage.

Meehan goaled on 18 and 22 minutes, his second set up by Matthew Clancy.

Brian Farrell (0-02) and Mairtin Doran closed up the gap before half-time, but Meehan hit two more goals as Galway moved to fourth in Division 1B.
