Limerick squander chance to beat Cats
Limerick 1-11 Kilkenny 0-14
Limerick coughed up a three-point interval lead as Kilkenny came back to maintain their unbeaten run in NHL Division 1B.
South Liberties clubman Mark Keane slotted home a 34th-minute penalty, after being fouled by John Tennyson, to push Limerick in front for the first time.
A Conor Fitzgerald point had them 1-07 to 0-07 to the good at the Gaelic Grounds.
But, the Cats were back level on 58 minutes thanks to a Richie Power free and two Eoin Larkin overs, and a stalemate ensued. Keane (1-05) was top-scorer for Limerick.
Kilkenny are now a point clear at the summit.
