Galway 3-12 Laois 0-05

Galway had an easy time of it at a damp Pearse Stadium as they picked up their first points of the National League.

The Tribesmen, beaten by both Antrim and Limerick in recent weeks, led 2-04 to 0-02 at the break thanks to goals from Richie Murray and Ger Farragher. James Young hit the two first half points for the midlanders, who were forced to withdraw full-forward Damien Culleton (illness) before the throw-in.

Having struck nine wides in the opening half, Galway dominated the second with Murray notching his second goal and Farragher, David Donoghue and Niall Healy adding telling points.
