Two changes for Offaly hurlers

Unbeaten Offaly will boast two changes to their side when they entertain Wexford in NHL Division 1A tomorrow afternoon in Birr (throw-in 2.30pm).

Last month's draw against Cork and win over Down has John McIntyrne's men in good stead for a push for the knock-out stages of the league.

Birr's Rory Hanniffy, more noted as a forward, switches to centre back from the left half-back role he had against Down, as Ger Oakley drops out of the side and Waterford IT student Daniel Hoctor is recalled.

Hanniffy's older brother Gary is partnered by Aidan Hanrahan, a direct replacement for Michael Cordial, at midfield.

McIntyre's charges lost 0-11 to 0-23 to Limerick in a challenge match last Sunday, and will look to Coolderry hitman Brian Carroll to put in another good performance. The UL student scored 0-11 of Offaly's 1-18 haul in their win over Down last time out.
