Kerry power to win over Fermanagh
Kerry 1-17 Fermanagh 0-13, Killarney
Kerry had too much power for Fermanagh as a 39th-minute goal from Eoin Brosnan inspired the hosts to victory in Killarney.
Tom Brewster got the Ernesiders off to a great start with a point after 70 seconds but Kerry, aided by a lively Colm Cooper, led 0-06 to 0-05 at half-time. A foul by Paddy Kelly gave Fermanagh a penalty on the half-hour but Kerry ‘keeper Kieran Cremin dived well to his left to deny Mark Little.
A fisted pass from captain Declan O’Sullivan played Brosnan in for his goal and Kerry sailed clear to end Fermanagh’s 100% record.
