Brogan missing for Dubs

Dublin will face arch rivals Meath in Sunday's O'Byrne Cup semi-final without influential centre half-forward Alan Brogan.

The St Oliver Plunkett's ace, who scored four points from play against Wexford last Sunday, is sidelined through injury.

Ger O'Meara, who has favoured football over hurling this season, will make his debut in a very inexperienced half-forward line with Derek Murray of Round Towers, Clondalkin and David McConn (St Mary's, Saggart) alongside him.

Barry Cahill continues at full-back in the absence of injured captain Paddy Christie. Niall O'Shea returns at right corner back having missed the 0-13 to 1-08 defeat of Wexford.

Coman Goggins makes his first start of the season in the number 6 shirt, while Shane Ryan, one of four DCU players to have their 12-week suspensions lifted earlier this week, has been named on the Dubs' bench.

Sunday's throw-in at Parnell Park is 2.00pm.
