Munnelly rated doubtful for first test
Laois star Ross Munnelly could miss Friday's International Rules first Test against Australia after picking up a dead leg whilst training with the Irish squad.
The 22-year-old attacker sustained the blow yesterday as Ireland continued their training preparations for the 2005 Series in the coastal town of Mandurah.
Irish manager Pete McGrath whittles his panel down from 27 to 24 tomorrow and Munnelly, a 2005 All-Star nominee, will have to prove his fitness to be included.
Ryan McMenamin is also a doubt for the Perth Test with a chest infection, but the influential Tyrone defender did take a full part in yesterday's session at the home of Western AFL club Peel Thunder.
