O’Connor set to remain on as Kerry football manager

Jack O'Connor is set to remain on as Kerry football manager for another season despite speculation that he would step aside after losing the All-Ireland final to Tyrone.

O'Connor has intimated to the county board that he wants another year in charge of the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Martin McElkennon has been appointed to a two-year term as manager of the Cavan senior and under-21 teams, with Damien Cassidy as his assistant.
