Coca-Cola continue series sponsorship

Drinks giants Coca-Cola are to extend their sponsorship of the Ireland International Rules team for a further two years.

Speaking at today's announcement of Ireland's 43-man provisional panel for the October series with Australia, Mo Durkan, Public Affairs and Communications Manager for Coca-Cola Bottlers Ireland, said: "We are looking forward to an exciting two-Test Series in Australia this year, featuring the very best players from the codes of both Gaelic and Australian Rules football.

"We are also delighted that Padraig (Joyce) has again been named as captain of the Irish team, having worked with him previously across a number of other business initiatives earlier this year."

Coca-Cola has been series sponsor for the Ireland-held Tests of the International Rules series since 1998, and the official Irish team sponsor since 2001.
