GAC confirms qualifier fixtures
The GAA's Games Administration Committee have confirmed the dates, throw-in times and venues for the fourth round qualifiers of this year's All-Ireland Football Championship.
Having been out of the fray for two weeks, both Cork and Mayo, the beaten Munster and Connacht finalists, are to play their ties this coming Saturday, although not as part of a predicted Croke Park double-header.
Billy Morgan's Cork will take on Sligo in Portlaoise (throw-in 4pm), while Cavan, the conquerors of Donegal and Meath, have a Dr Hyde Park date with Mayo at 5.30pm.
The following Saturday, August 6, will see headquarters in use with Tyrone, who were edged out at Croke Park in last weekend's Ulster final replay, face Monaghan in the headline all-Ulster derby (throw-in 4pm) while Derry and Laois clash in the curtain-raiser (2pm).
It will be the third time in four weekends that Tyrone supporters have been called upon to make the trek south to Dublin in support of Mickey Harte's Red Hands.
Meanwhile, the All-Ireland SH Relegation final between Laois and Antrim has been set for this Saturday at Thurles' Semple Stadium (5pm).
