Galway call on Forde and Healy
Group One leaders Galway have made two changes for tomorrow's televised All-Ireland SHC qualifier tie against Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds (throw-in 7pm).
Manager Conor Hayes, who watched his side romp to a 3-29 to 0-10 victory over Antrim six days ago, has been boosted by the return to fitness of Clarinbridge centre forward David Forde and Fergal Healy, who is, ironically, a University of Limerick stalwart.
Back from a stomach muscle strain, Forde will line out on the forty tomorrow, with Kevin Hayes being released into the full-forward line for the Tribesmen's first championship clash against the Shannonsiders since 1981.
The Munster men surprisingly boast a 5-3 advantage from their previous meetings, with a single draw.
Various positional switches mean Fergal Healy's younger brother Niall loses out in the Galway selection, with David Collins taking over from Ger Mahon at wing back - leaving the elder Healy to man centre-field.
Galway and Limerick are level at the top of Group One on four points each, with Galway's better scoring difference of +39 placing them first.
Corner forward Ger Farragher has carried the brunt of the westerners' attack so far - hitting 1-24 in two qualifier matches alone.
Both teams are already through to Sunday's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final draw. Tomorrow's victors will have the benefit of facing one of the provincial runners-up in the last eight, as opposed to the champions.
