O'Dwyer: Who cares how we did it?
Laois boss Mick O'Dwyer's happiness was tempered by relief yesterday as he watched his side grab the lead for the first time in injury time during the Leinster SFC quarter-final clash against Offaly at Croke Park.
Offaly led all the way, from Mark Daly's 10th minute goal, the opening score of the game. But Kevin Kilmurray's men were guilty of shooting 19 wides, which cost them the game in the end, as Ross Munnelly stole a goal in injury time to give Laois a 1-10 to 1-8 victory.
O'Dwyer said afterwards: "We never gave up and that's a good trait in any team. We got the goal in the finish and who cares what way it was, who was winning, or what was winning or who had all the play … we won the game."
