Wexford 1-15 Clare 5-16
A rampant Clare side picked up their third NHL second phase win as they sailed through to next weekend's Division One final.
Tony Carmody and Niall Gilligan shared out four of those goals as Munster's sleeping giants warmed up nicely for a league decider shot at Leinster kingpins Kilkenny.
The final pairing looked far from decided when Nigel Higgins found the Banner net on 17 minutes for a 1-05 to 0-04 home lead.
However a brace of well-taken goals from Gilligan (21 minutes) and Carmody (34) saw Anthony Daly's visitors go 2-12 to 1-07 in front at the break.
Barley forty seconds after the restart Diarmuid McMahon rasped home to the Wexford net and further goals from Carmody (44) and Gilligan (53) settled the issue for Clare, who are without a league title since 1978.
Carmody went on to hit 2-06, with one of few highlights for the Model men coming from John O'Connor's two-point sideline cut.
Clare even had enough in reserve to finish out the game with 14 men - as with all of their substitutions in use, Frank Lohan's late yellow card left them a man down.
