Mayo duo's trek proved in vain
Mayo players James Nallen and Trevor Mortimer made journeys in vain for last Sunday's National Football League semi-final clash against Armagh, which ended up being postponed.
The clash was due to go ahead at Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon, but bad weather caused the postponement of the fixture.
Nallen had been on holiday in the Caribbean and returned on Sunday morning to take his place on the bench for the clash.
Mortimer, a student in Leeds, had flown home for his fifth league clash of the season, and had to return to England the following day as he is undertaking his final exams.
The match has been rescheduled for Croke Park next Sunday.
