Cork manager John Allen will rest most of his All-Ireland-winning team for Sunday's National Hurling League clash with northerners Down.

Cork manager John Allen will rest most of his All-Ireland-winning team for Sunday's National Hurling League clash with northerners Down.

Brian Murphy, John Gardiner, Brian Corcoran and Kieran Murphy are the sole members of September's starting line-up who are selected for Sunday's tie.

Martin Coleman replaces Paul Morrissey between the sticks, Peter Kelly moves to right wing-back, with Kevin Hartnett on the other flank. Graham Callinan is chosen at midfield.

Paul Tierney comes in to lead the attack, with Neil Ronan moving to left wing-forward. They replace the McCarthys - Niall and Timmy respectively. James Bowles comes in at top of the right.
