Mortimer out for Mayo

All-Ireland finalists Mayo will without the services of ace attacker Trevor Mortimer when they host Cork in the third round of the National Football League in Castlebar on Sunday.

The full-forward has university commitments in Leeds and will not return home for the fixture - the first time he has not figured in the league to date.

Manager John Maughan is also without most of his Ballina contingent, who are busy preparing for their upcoming All-Ireland club semi-final against Portlaoise.

Mayo will be looking for their second home win in the league, having seen off Donegal in the last round.
