Tyrone to defend McKenna Cup

A full-strength Tyrone side will take to the field today to defend their Dr McKenna Cup title in the final against Derry.

Manager Mickey Harte has named the same team that lined out against Dublin in the National Football League last Sunday.

Brian Dooher captains lead the side, despite a leg gash that required six stitches following the win over the Dubs.

Chris Lawn, who went off injured last week, takes his place at full-back.

Owen Mulligan is named at full-forward, but is likely to lead the attack from the forty, with Stephen O'Neill moving to the full-forward line.

All-Ireland semi-finalists Derry are below strength due to injuries and the 12-week ban handed down to Patsy Bradley during the week.

All Star Enda Muldoon and defender Niall McCusker are ruled out and boss Mickey Moran's options are reduced further by the fact that Derry players who lined out for their colleges in the competition cannot be selected.
