The Galway hurling team has signed and exclusive gear and equipment deal with manufacturer Gaelic Gear.

County Board Chairman Michael Ryan said: “We have been involved in detailed discussions with Gaelic Gear for some time. This deal puts in place a structure to ensure long term financial investment in hurling development in County Galway.”

Paul Campbell, Managing Director of Gaelic Gear added: “We are looking forward to sitting down with players and County Board officials to design the County’s clothing for the 2005 Championship."

The deal could net Galway hurling €1m in the next four years, Gaelic Gear said today, as a percentage of gear sales revenue will divert back to the county board.
