Kelly withdraws from Limerick panel
Limerick's flying half-forward Stephen Kelly has withdrawn from the county football panel.
The Newcastlewest man told management last weekend that he didn't feel he could offer the necessary commitment.
The 23-year-old said: "I'm not in a position to give commitment to any team at the moment. I'll see how things are down the line, but I just feel I need a break."
There had been speculation the former Limerick FC player would return to soccer following talks with that club's manager, Noel O'Connor, but Kelly ruled out that option.
He said: "I told Noel I couldn't commit to him either."
