Baker, O'Connor inter-county futures uncertain
The inter-county futures of former All Stars and All-Ireland winners Olly Baker and Jamesie O'Connor are in doubt after both were omitted from Anthony Daly's 26-man hurling squad.
Defender Brian Lohan, who was also not included, has said he will make a decision after his hamstring injury has recovered. His brother Frank, who is on holidays in Australia, has also been omitted.
Veteran John Reddan has been left out, while Tony Griffin is in Canada.
However, several young players have received call-ups. Kenneth Kennedy is recalled, along Wolfe Tones midfielder Declan O'Rourke and Clarecastle's Tyrone Kierse.
U21 netminder Philip Brennan has earned a senior call-up in the wake of former deputy goalkeeper Ger O'Connell's departure to neighbours and bitter rivals Limerick.
