Stradbally man the toast of Waterford

Stradbally manager Sean Ahearne has been named the Park Hotel Waterford Sport Star Of The Month for October.

Ahearne guided the Waterford club to four consecutive county football championship titles and a historic Munster club semi-final defeat of Cork side Bishopstown last weekend.

The former Decies player's record as a manager is second to none in the county, with the last four-in-a-row occurring almost 60 years ago.
