Eoin Larkin was the scoring hero for Kilkenny champions James Stephens as they overcame Wexford's Oulart-the-Ballagh 2-13 to 0-14 in today's AIB Leinster Club Hurling semi-final at Nowlan Park.

The 20-year-old continued his rich vein of form, hitting a personal tally of 1-7 as the Village side booked a final date with Dublin champions UCD.

Second half goals from Larkin and Gary Whelan saw off Oulart, who were served gamely by tricky forward Des Mythen and 40-year-old inter county veteran Martin Storey.

Coolderry (Offaly) 0-7 UCD (Dublin) 1-14

Babs Keating's UCD side today continued their quest for a first AIB Leinster Club hurling title since 1917.

Tipperary's Eamonn Ryan hit the only goal in a 1-14 to 0-7 semi-final defeat of Coolderry of Offaly.

The Portlaoise clash failed to fire as the students dominated both halves, with Moycarkey-Borris half back Ryan finding the net in the early stages.

Coolderry had little or no answer and relied on county stars Damien Murray and Brian Carroll for their scores.

County team mate Brendan Murphy - who coincidentally lined out alongside both Murray and Carroll in Offaly's Leinster final loss to Wexford last July - drove UCD further in front with a couple of late points.
