Westmeath football selector Tomas O Flatharta has been handed a 12-week touchline suspension for next year's championship.

O Flatharta was given the punishment for an alleged altercation with Derry mentor John Morrison during the Lakes County's All-Ireland football quarter-final at Croke Park last month.

O Flatharta, a Kerry native who is based in Dublin, was charged with breaching match regulations.
