Slaneysiders to discuss Conran's future

The Wexford county board will meet next Tuesday night to discuss the future of John Conran as the Model County's hurling manager.

Conran and selectors Martin Quigley and Dickie Murphy led Wexford to the Leinster championship title this year, as an injury-time goal saw them dethrone Kilkenny.

However, their subsequent 18-point drubbing by Cork in the All-Ireland semi-final took the gloss off what had been a great season.

After the Cork game, Conran took time out to consider his future and will let the Wexford county board know if he is interested in continuing by tomorrow.
