O'hAilpin, Bergin to train with International Rules squad
Aussie Rules star Setanta O'hAilpin and Galway footballer Joe Bergin are due to join the Irish International Rules squad for training tonight.
Both players are expected to be formally drafted into the squad following tonight's work-out in Dublin.
O'hAilpin was called up after being given the all-clear by team doctor Con Murphy.
The former Cork star currently plays with Aussie Rules side Carlton, but has been out of the action of late after fracturing a bone in his foot.
Irish International Rules manager Pete McGrath has until October 11 to finalise his squad of 30 players for the first test against Australia the following week.
Three players have already withdrawn from the squad this week.
Captain Padraic Joyce (Galway) and Barry Owens (Fermanagh) are out with groin injuries, while Tyrone's Ryan McMenamin withdrew to concentrate on helping his club Dromore in the county championship.
