Waterford set to re-appoint McCarthy

Waterford are set to re-appoint hurling boss Justin McCarthy and his selection team of Nicky Cashin, Seamie Hannon and Kevin Ryan.

McCarthy has led the Decies to two Munster titles in three years, and his side went out to Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-finals this year.

The Waterford county board is to meet on Monday night to discuss the matter, but county chairman Paddy Joe Ryan said no final decision will be taken then.

In light of McCarthy's success, it is unlikely that anyone else will run against him.
