Cork hurlers cheered across county

Hundreds of supporters turned out in Newtownshandrum last night as the victorious Cork hurlers brought the Liam McCarthy Cup to the North Cork village.

Captain Ben O'Connor, who guided the Avondhu side to the All-Ireland club championship in March, was swamped by fans as the team arrived.
