Gold medallist Cian special guest of GAA
Ireland's Olympic gold medallist Cian O'Connor will be a special guest of the GAA at Sunday week's All-Ireland hurling final between Cork and Kilkenny.
GAA President Sean Kelly confirmed that O'Connor will be introduced to the crowd at the final.
He said: "Cian brought huge honour to Ireland and its equestrian tradition and it was both opportune and appropriate that he should be honoured in the biggest sporting arena in the country."
Olympic medallists Michael Carruth, Ronnie Delaney and Sonia O'Sullivan have previously been honoured at Croke Park.
