Westmeath wanted to play on Sunday

Westmeath county secretary Paddy Collins has said he would have preferred if his county's quarter-final clash with Derry had been fixed for Sunday rather than Saturday.

The new Leinster champions feel they would have brought more support to Croke Park had the match been fixed for a Sunday.
