Offaly face doubts over Whelahan

Offaly's Brian Whelahan is doubtful to face Clare in his side's All-Ireland hurling qualifier next weekend, and as a result, may announce his retirement from the inter-county scene.

The former Allstar suffered a hamstring injury in the Faithful County's Leinster final defeat to Wexford on Sunday.
