Former Tipp boss Shorthall back in demand
Former Tipperary football manager Andy Shorthall is wanted by county chiefs to make a dramatic return for the All-Ireland B championship.
Tipp are likely to escape with a heavy fine for failing to fulfill their back door tie against Fermanagh, leaving them free to take part in the All-Ireland B championship.
And the Tipp football board want Shorthall to lead the side in the race for the Murphy Cup.
Former Laois star Shorthall stood down in a blaze of anger when two of his players were forced to play club hurling games just days before the Fermanagh tie.
