GAA President Sean Kelly will head to New York next week to lend his support to the ambitious Randall's Island stadium project.

The $45m project is headed up by Galway man and former NY President Monty Moloney and will form part of the city's bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games.

Kelly is set to meet with investors in Manhattan and current New York President Liam Bermingham has revealed his excitement about the initiative which will require much fund raising.
