Golden hopes for McDonald's return

Mayo selector George Golden has admitted he'd love to see Kieran McDonald return to inter-county football this summer.

Crossmolina star McDonald has not figured for Mayo since quitting the panel after receiving personal abuse over 12 months ago.

But Golden said: "We have maintained our efforts to keep the line of communication open and the door is wide open for him. We would be delighted if he came back."
