Laois and Westmeath progress

Despite Jonathan O'Neill's 1-11 for Wicklow, it was Westmeath who progressed in the Guinness Leinster SHC clash at Mullingar.
Depite being short eight of last-years all ireland SHC B winning team, Wicklow were well in contention for much of the game.
However, Westmeath lead 2-06 0-09 at half time.
The Midlanders surged further ahead in the early minutes of the second half John Shaw hitting two goals in sucession.
By the middle of the second half the winners were 4-09 0-12 in front.
In the closing stages of the game Westmeath's Andrew Mitchell and Wicklow's Jonathan O'Neill each kicked goals from dead ball situtaions but weestmneath finished strongly.
Substitutes Frank Shaw and Cillian Cosgrove combined for the former to hit Westmeath's sixth goal, setting them up for a contest against Kildare in the next round.
