Dempsey takes control of Carlow footballers
Former Westmeath boss Luke Dempsey has agreed to take over the Carlow football team for the remainder of the season.
Dempsey is a high profile appointment for the coming months following the decision of Mick Condon to step down amid allegations of a late night drinking session involving his players.
Carlow chiefs stress that Dempsey is not the manager but an advisor though he's likely to take charge of first team affairs this term in a significant coup for the county.
