Laois axe key trio after training no-show

Laois football boss Mick O'Dwyer has shown his mean streak by axing three players from his panel for missing training.

Portlaoise players Colm Parkinson, Colm Byrne and Martin Delaney missed a club game on Sunday as well as Monday night's county training session.

All three were expected to play big parts in the defence of their Leinster title this year, with Parkinson and Byrne playing a part in last year's historic win.
