Injury crisis for Offaly hurlers

Offaly hurling is facing an opening-day meltdown with the news that five key players are doubtful for their National League clash with Tipperary.

Michael Cordial, Barry Whelahan and Neville Coughlan are definitely out, though dual star Neville Coughlan and Gary Cahill may make it.

Boss Mike McNamara said: "We will leave it until Sunday morning before making a decision on Neville and it looks as if Gary has a fractured finger."
