Historic ladies' AllStar tour

Ladies gaelic football chiefs have revealed a historic upcoming tour of the USA with a high profile game in New York next May.

The AllStar awards have been in operation since 1981, and last year's first ever gala banquet has been surpassed by the AllStar tour plans to the Big Apple.

The 2003 AllStars will face an All-Ireland selection on May 2 and Mayo star Christina Heffernan said: "This trip puts us up on a pedestal with the men. I really cannot wait for the trip."
