Cork to open league without Corkery and Geary

Cork boss Billy Morgan is set to begin his latest spell in charge of the Rebels without star players Colin Corkery and Niall Geary.

Cork play Westmeath under lights in the National Football League opener on Saturday night at Pairc Ui Rinn.

However, both players will miss out and Morgan said: "Niall will need a cruciate operation soon and knowing the player like I do he will work his socks off to be back for the latter half of the season."
