Meath boss Boylan unlikely to call on banned star Geraghty

Meath football manager Sean Boylan is unlikely to call on Graham Geraghty for Sunday's O'Byrne Cup semi-final tie with Offaly even though he's eligible to play.

Meath football manager Sean Boylan is unlikely to call on Graham Geraghty for Sunday's O'Byrne Cup semi-final tie with Offaly even though he's eligible to play.

Geraghty is currently serving a 48-week ban for verbally abusing a referee but can play in December and January because the winter months fall within the GAA's off season.

However, Boylan said: "As far as I'm concerned when a guy gets a 12 month ban that's it, he's gone for the year."
