ESB man McManus gives Offaly new spark

Offaly football hero Ciaran McManus has given his county a major boost by returning home after working abroad for most of the year.

The ESB engineer was based in Germany and Finland at different times but combined work with his hectic inter-county schedule.

McManus said: "It was a wonderful experience to work on the Continent but from a footballing point of view it’s great to be back home again."
