St Brigids star Gallagher cleared for semi-final
St Brigid's Rory Gallagher has been cleared to play in the Leinster club semi-final against Clonguish on Sunday after a Leinster Council GAC meeting.
The former Fermanagh player was at the centre of an alleged bust up with a mentor from the St Pat's team when they met the Louth champions in the quarter-final but was cleared of any wrong-doing.
The news comes as a real boost to Brigid's boss Paddy Clarke who will look to the inspirational half-forward to help them to their first provincial final ever.
Meanwhile, the provincial body ruled against club hurling champions Birr who wanted Sunday week's Leinster final postponed because of injuries and withdrawals.
