GAA President Kelly denies GPA snub
GAA President Sean Kelly has hit back at suggestions that he snubbed the GPA's Player of the Year awards ceremony last Friday night.
Kelly was in Rome ahead of Saturday's Railway Cup hurling final between Leinster and Connacht at the Giulio Onesti sports grounds.
Kelly said: "I attended last year's GPA function when I was President-elect so it's most unfair of anyone to suggest that there was an ulterior motive behind my absence last Friday night. I couldn't be in two places at the one time.”
