Former All-Ireland winning goalkeeper Ken Hogan is the name on everyone's lips to take over the Tipperary hurling vacancy left by Michael Doyle.

Former All-Ireland winning goalkeeper Ken Hogan is the name on everyone's lips to take over the Tipperary hurling vacancy left by Michael Doyle.

Hogan has served a long apprenticeship as a selector and was part of the victorious All-Ireland winning backroom team under Nicky English in 2001.

Tipp chiefs have been impressed by his work with the Munster Railway Cup squad and the Templemore based garda now appears certain to take over.
