Tipp on the hunt for new boss

Tipperary county board officials have responded to the resignation of hurling manager Michael Doyle by electing an eight man committee to find a replacement.

Doyle followed through on a quit threat after suffering what he described as excessive personal criticism from the county's fans in the wake of championship defeats to Clare and Kilkenny.

A statement read: "The first meeting of this committee will take place on Monday evening next,

September 29th. A timeline for the completion of this selection process will be discussed then."
