Former All-Ireland winning Meath skipper Graham Geraghty has appealed his 48-week suspension for allegedly jostling and verbally abusing a referee to the Leinster council.

The late appeal has come as a surprise but Geraghty alleges that he never received news of the initial disciplinary hearing that was convened to allow him his right of reply.
